Worshipers of the now legendary and even mystical James Dean are brought together for a film that has moments of laughter and sadness sprinkled throughout. Cher, Sandy Dennis, Kathy Bates and an early performance by Kathy Bates contribute to this wonderful drama that is frozen in a simpler time. Watching all these amazing actresses at the various stages in their careers is truly fascinating. The story and all the performances are superb. With an excellent cast this sleeper of a movie was a much bigger film than anyone could have expected.
 
Sandy Dennis, Cher and Kathy Bates are all tremendous in this drama. Robert Altman did a superior job in directing this little known gem. This film has a very real feel and seems like there is women just talking to each other quite naturally. This drama is fantastic and should be a part of any serious collector's movies collection.
